KVS is proud to have been involved in the design, supply and installation of the kitchen ventilation system at the Wildwoods Restaurant within the new multi-million pound Gateway Building at Paultons Park near Romsey in Hampshire. Having previously worked closed with Paultons Park, KVS was acutely aware of the need to design and install a reliable system to ensure that provision of hundreds of covers per day would not be jeopardised.
The kitchen ventilation system comprised 2 no. 5.5m long extract and supply air wall pattern canopies and 1 no. 4.0m long dishwasher canopy. The canopies contained baffle filters, IP65 and UL listed low energy bulkhead lighting, integrated grease drawers and fire guard channel. The extract ductwork system contains low grade disposable pleated panel filters to considerably reduce the ductwork cleaning burden and provide an element of fan protection.
As an approved contractor to Soler and Palau, KVS were very pleased to incorporate their latest Contrafoil Plus fan with their integrated gas interlocking and 50% fan back-up facility, thereby providing the client with confidence of minimal downtime in the event of a fan failure. Supply air is provided via an intake plenum, a centrifugal fan and distribution ductwork to insulated canopy supply air plenums with perforated front face diffusion and integrated equalisation grid. Additionally, KVS supplied and fitted in excess of 30m2 of grade 304 stainless steel wall cladding.
The design period begin in 2012 with installation taking place during late 2013/early 2014 with handover completed on time and to the quoted price. KVS continues to maintain the extract and supply air system on a preventative maintenance basis.
