As part of a complete refit of the kitchen, KVS were employed to undertake design, manufacture, installation, testing and commission of a kitchen ventilation system.
The system comprised an island supply and extract canopy complete with an extract and tempered supply air system. Heated supply air was provided by means of a thyristor controlled 24kW heater battery and acoustic centrifugal cabinet fan. The supply air ductwork was lagged to suit.
KVS also provided the controls panel for the ventilation which also included gas interlocking with fan power sensor and panel mounted knock off button. Intake and discharge cowls were powder coated to meet planning conditions.
The design and installation was undertaken in strict accordance with HVCA DW/172 and BS6173.
