KVS is pleased to be one of the few kitchen ventilation contractors that offers a design only service. Prior to giving consent, local authorities may require detailed plans in accordance with DEFRA guidance on the control of odour and noise. The requirements to satisfy DEFRA are strict and must follow their risk assessment resulting in an appropriate odour abatement solution. Invariably, this will need to be allied to noise control as a considered element of the overall design. In this instance, KVS would usually work with Sound Advice Acoustics (www.soundadviceacoustics.co.uk) to undertake noise surveys and produce compliant design solutions.
For a fixed fee, KVS can attend site, measure up and provide a DEFRA compliant detailed design. If we are successful in securing the subsequent kitchen ventilation contract, we will refund our design fee*.
