Rockmount Hotel

KVS are very pleased to have been involved in the design, supply, delivery and installation of 2 no. full kitchen ventilation systems at this site during the Summer of 2014. With residential neighbours close by, great consideration was given to attenuation and odour control. Working in conjunction with Sound Advice Acoustics of Southampton, KVS came up with a design that included system side and atmosphere side silencers to all 4 no. multi-box acoustic cabinet fans. Additionally, KVS designed and manufactured 4 no. bespoke fan acoustic housings.

Vertical discharge cowlings were employed to efficiently disperse the vitiated air and this has been combined with a Purfied Air ON100 system is help neutralise kitchen extract odours.

The newly refurbished Rockmount Hotel includes a main restaurant/bar kitchen as well as the exclusive ‘Chef’s Table’ kitchen on the 1st floor where diners can experience cooking of their dishes at close quarters. Both canopies included insulated supply air plenums and the 1st floor kitchen canopy included personal nozzle diffusers. As with all KVS projects, air volumes and the overall design has been completed in accordance with B&ES DW/172.
