The refurbishment of The Ship Ashore kitchen required a new ventilation system. On a design and build basis, KVS supplied and installed a kitchen ventilation system to comply with HVCA DW/172 and BS6173 requirements.
Specific design considerations included assessing the prevailing winds to provide the best dispersal of vitiated air. Additionally, as an LPG site, we provided both high and low level ventilation for return air. Associated work included stainless steel wall cladding, wall mounted services distribution unit (for gas, water and electrics) and provision of a gas interlock panel.
The works were completed on a snag free basis to the client satisfaction in March 2010.
Other Isle of Wight projects completed since 2010 include Ventnor Fisheries, Goodmans Brasserie, Earl Mountbatten Hospice, East Dene Centre and The Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes.
